Celebrate every Accomplishment

Hi 🧑🏻💻
Happy Friday!
This is new but don’t get used to it 🙃. I couldn’t let the week-end (weekend! See what I did there 😉) without Self Care Wednesday!
This week’s Self Care Wednesday “on a Friday” is about celebrating your accomplishments or as most of us would say “wins”… all of them… the big, the small and the “Eh 👋🏼”
What does this have to do with Self Care? Remember Self Care isn’t only about beauty and being at one with your inner spirit 🧘🏻 Self Care deals with all of you and all that you do.
It’s the way you deal with it all that reflects on you in a positive or negative way. #SadTruth
I have met people who celebrate everything good in their lives and even the not so good sometimes… this is me…
Then there are those who only see things in large, only the biggest accomplishments gets recognized.
Which are you?
I want to tell you today that you will feel more productive and successful if you give all your wins the recognition they deserve! Why? Because you did them! Duh 🙄
Recognizing all the good, better and best of a task that you were able to complete and be rewarded, easily motivates you to go harder on tackling your next goal, especially if it’s challenging.
Look at it this way 👇🏼
You are currently unemployed… you set a few goals to nail a job or start a business.
Let’s start with landing a job..
You are applying for a job and you’re proposing yourself to them as a brand, proving to them that you are the table so you don’t need to bring anything to the table as my dear friend Kimiko would say.…..
Your first accomplishment believe it or not is applying for the job. The truth about it is that you want to be in a better position and the effort and interests you put in reflects that. So even though you haven’t gotten the job yet… I’m certain you feel elevated after submitting your application and that’s because you’re optimistic about getting the job!
Now imagine the company reached out to you to schedule an interview, that’s another small win.. that means you made it on the short list! Most of these companies get 100s of applications and for your application to be a part of that list?! then my friend you have accomplished something.
The big win is actually landing the job.. you would feel so satisfied had you not celebrated your smaller wins, because you totally forgot how it felt when you applied and how the interview made you feel based on the engagement you had with the interviewer.
Starting a Business
You want to start a business… your first small win is wanting to start a business 🤷🏻♀️ I’m not kidding!
The fact that you considered starting a business to make your own money means you want to better yourself and be independent.
The other small wins are creating a bomb business plan, putting the plan into action and starting with what you have.
The big win of course is launching the business and then each customer begins your small wins again.
My question to you to ask yourself is this:
why not celebrate what I want to do?
You probably don‘t celebrate your birthday 🙄 you only change the number once every 12 months for 24 hours! Celebrate!!!
The only logical reason a person celebrates their birthday for an entire week or month is because they give recognition to their small wins… they remember where they’re coming from and where they want to be…
Some of them are really just extra 😒 so I get it.
Applying this to your everyday life brings more positivity as well as it can be contagious if you’re around others.
This is why it is always suggested that if you want to be successful you have to be around successful people.
Do you celebrate your small wins? Comment below how and how it affects you. We want to hear 🤗
